The Slate River Ranches are home to a beautiful collection of well-bred and trained cutting horses and together encompass approximately 3,000 acres. Guided by a competitive spirit, ranch operations at both locations reflect the longstanding Western ethic of hard work and honor.
 
Slate River Ranch is proud to announce our 2021 Futurity winner Janie Wood, a homegrown filly by Stevie Rey Von out of our great mare, Junie Wood, the 2014 NCHA Horse of the Year. Junie Wood’s legacy continues to live on through her offspring. Slate River prides itself on being the only ranch in cutting horse history to have received the prestigious title of Top Owner and Top Breeder in the same year. Both titles were earned in 2008, 2010, and, again, in 2016.
